Pupils at two Shropshire schools have been studying vehicles and how farm machinery has changed over time. Teme Valley Tractors Welshpool were pleased to take along a T7 200 to Bishops Castle and Hope Primary schools so the children could explore a top class British made New Holland Tractor first hand.
Children at Bishops Castle were looking at the different parts and using the vocabulary to make a non-fiction book about wheels and vehicles. They all had a try in the seat, were amazed at the size of the wheels and were very excited that they could see onto the school roof from inside the cab!
Here’s some of the pupils admiring the Basildon built Union Jack clad demonstrator. This latest generation top spec tractor has 155 horse power boosting to 200 and runs with AdBlue technology to cut down the emissions with a yield of up to 10% reduction in fuel consumption. Pretty impressive for how technology has changed over time – and great news for the young farmers of tomorrow.
