11 Lucky Children from Bishops Castle Primary school visited Teme Valley Tractors Welshpool branch last Wednesday. The pupils arrived by minibus for a tour of the depot where they learnt about second hand goods, air products, parts in stores , new New Holland models and all about marketing for the branch.
Three of the pupils were from farming families but all of the children were bursting with questions about the machinery. Dean Jones from stores showed the children around, answering their questions about machinery and all the pupils got to sit inside the cab of a brand new New Holland T7 185. As well as learning about the tractors the children got an insight into the wide variety of jobs involved in the industry. At the end of the tour they got some first-hand experience of marketing with Thomasina when they all took part in collaboratively writing a tweet about their visit.
The visit ended with a question and answer session with Martyn Hall. One pupil said “I loved being in the cab it was really high up” All the pupils agreed that the visit was “Awesome”
