Last week we held a very well attended Weidemann Telehandler open evening at our Welshpool Depot. We invited customers and local businesses that use tele handlers in the area into the depot to see a range of tele handling solutions that Weidemann has to offer for industrial and agricultural applications. We were joined by experts from the Weidemann team for the area including Andy Bolan the Area Sales Manager, Steve Webster from after Sales and Adam Graham Sales Northern Territory.
The focus of the evening was to feature a range of models suitable for a range of holdings from small to large including brand new models recently launched. The models on show included T6027, T5522, T4512, T1370 and the 5080T.
Welcoming the team from Weidemann Teme Valley Tractors Welshpool Director Martyn Hall mentioned that Teme Valley Tractors have sold 15 Wiedemann models in the past four years and have found Weidemann very good to work with. “Weidemann has taken on board feedback that TVT had passed on from customers to enable them to refine models further with direct results achieved in one calendar year.” He explained “Not many manufacturers can do that but when you work with a company that’s prepared to listen that’s worth a lot” he said.
The T6027 was first up. This brand model - the largest telehandler in the 2 x 2 class made an impressive entrance. This model features:
• 6m lift height
• pay load 2.7 tons
• weighs 5.2 tons,
• 30K transmission with boom suspension
• Hydraulic attach plate for convenience of connecting attachments without leaving the cab.
• comfort cab with air con air seat and factory fitted sound system
The second machine to make and entrance was the T5522 a compact Telehandler, this machine has had great success since it was launched 2 years ago. Features include:
• 5.5m lift
• 2.2 ton
• 30k transmission with boom suspension
• With a list of options to suit every operator and farming application
Andy Bolan explained that the width and height of all machines is less than 2 metres making Weidemann telehandlers ideal for use in confined spaces and unique in their combination of lift height, width and machine capacity. The manoeuvrability achieved in this way makes the machines into all-rounders on every application site. All models have high quality powder coating making their finish extremely durable setting them apart from the competition along with aluminium solid radiators designed and built to last.
Next in was the award winning T4512 the best-selling machine in the Weidemann portfolio with:
• 4.5 m lift height
• 1.2 ton lift capacity
• 30 k transmission with boom suspension
• 4 wheel steer
Teme Valley Welshpool are pleased to have six Weidemann out on Farms at the moment all achieving impressive results. This machine punches above its weight and is ideal in small buildings replacing skid steer loaders with more lift height and a very economical turbo charged engine. The Weidemann team pointed out the cab guard which protects the driver and joy sticks with controls all in one place. People commonly use these machines on the road in between farms.
All machines have Driver assist Vertical Lift System and the Sturdy telescopic arm with enormous lift height. It’s no wonder this model won a product design . The team explained how you can use your machine as a multi-tool - you have a wide selection of attachments available for your Weidemann.
Next up was the nippy Hoftrac T1370 CX50 demonstrating it's ROPS structure versatility. With or without - your choice! This little beauty is ideal for working in compact spaces or where access and height is restricted. Great for specialised tasks like cubical bedding but still packs a punch with it’s lifting capacity. This Hoftrac lifts to 3 metres high. There is a family of axles available for this model and flexible cab options which the team demonstrated – check out their demonstration on our facebook page showing how quickly the model converts from cables to cab version.
Last to enter the arena was the 5080T – currently the largest model Weidemann make. This powerful T5080 makes every work application even more productive these machines have a telescopic boom that provides considerably higher lift height and range compared to normal wheel loaders with loading arms. We're talking about manoeuvrability, stability and lifting force - not forgetting all-wheel drive and Hydraulic quick-hitch system. With diesel tank on one side and a hydraulic tank on the other, and a new joy stick that enables the operator to use various hydraulic functions all at the same time. This is a proven engine that shares parentage with some other products with in the Teme Valley portfolio. The cab will hydraulically tilt to one side enabling quick and easy maintenance along with cleaning required.
After all the machines had entered and been introduced by the Weidemann team further refreshments were served and Martyn Hall invited customers to have a close up look at the machines and get some hands on experience in the cabs. There was a great buzz in the workshop and a lot of interest in products since. Many thanks to the Weidemann team and to everyone who attended.
